E-mail June 14,2007 from Barry McK District 36 Treatment Facilities Chair
Hello Gordon This is my second term. The Detox is doing great as is the Harbour Light and the Lakeshore meeting is doing ok. Most of the groups are contributing to put on meetings in the Detox, the Harbour Light , it is the Treatment center at the Salvation Army Center. I attend most of the meetings and help setup. Bridging the Gap needs some help, but we do help when they get out, give out Big Books and 12 & 12's. I will see you at the fall Assembly. Thanks Gord Barry McK

To: District Treatment Facilities Chairs or DCM’s ( Districts that do not have Treatment Chairs )
Hello Friends
As of the Area Committee meeting in Belleville on June 2, 2007, I was elected to take over as the Area Treatment Facilities Chair. I would like to thank the Area Committee for the honor of allowing me to serve, and I will do my best to help you carry the message throughout the Area and you’re Districts. I will make myself available to attend Service Days, workshops or District meetings, just email at area83treatment@rogers.com .
I would like to create an Area 83 email Newsletter, the purpose would be to communicate problems and information throughout the area, and also help get a better understanding of Bridging the Gap. So I would appreciate any information from your district, hopefully all will participate. Please pass on whether it is going great in your District or there are some problems.- I would also appreciate the minutes from each District also- I promise to read each one. –
I plan on placing an order for literature from G.S.O., if you require any literature or workbooks please contact me- this also includes forms or information on Bridging the Gap. I will have lots of literature for the Fall Assembly along with the Treatment Display. This display is also available for Workshops or Service Days please make use of it.
If you have some ideas or information you would like to have included in the Treatment workshop at the Fall Assembly please pass it on, I would also like to know who will be attending the Fall Assembly, and if there are any chairs unable to attend, perhaps because of the lack of funding- please contact me, perhaps we can make some arrangements to have you attend.
I look forward to hearing from all the Districts, please keep my inbox full, I am here to serve you, and better carry the message in Area 83. I plan on sending out regular email reports, and to get the Treatment E-newsletter off the ground.
